KL90 Installation Instructions
Important
Before installing the lock familiarise yourself with the lock operation and programming. The basic programming features are detailed in the Getting Started Guide provided with the lock, with a full guide available at codelockssupport.com

FLUSH FIT
1. Use the template provided (marked FLUSH) or surface fit trim plate as a guide. Marking around the inside edge of the template or trim plate accurately to show the area to be cut out.
2. IMPORTANT NOTE: Before cutting, ensure the position of the lock will allow the selected cam to engage with the frame
3. Cut out the area inside the line and sand the edges of the hole to remove splinters.
4. Fit lock into recess. Where appropriate the surface trim plate should be fitted for thinner doors only, securing the surface trim plate on the inside first, the backing plate is then secured to the inside face of the door using the appropriate length fixing bolts.
5. Select and fit the spindle spacer (if required) and secure the appropriate cam with the correct length fixing bolt.
6. Secure the battery pack adjacent to the KL90 keypad on the inside face of the door using the supplied screws or self-adhesive tape, where required.
7. Install the two AAA cells provided and connect the cables.
8. Before closing the door check the operation of the lock with the User Code. Now check that the cam engages with the frame or keep without bind or to much free play.
9. If not changed already, change the factory set master and user codes.
SURFACE MOUNTED
A. Replace existing cam lock
1. Remove existing cam lock.
2. Use the template provided (marked SURFACE) or backing plate as a guide, placing the spindle hole over the 18mm hole in the door left after removing the cam lock, and mark the upper and lower offset fixing holes.
3. Drill the two 5mm fixing holes.
4. Fit the surface fit trim plate to the KL90 keypad
5. Place the lock on the door face, offer up the backing plate gently feeding the power cable through the backing plate cable channel to suit the hand of the door.
6. Using the fixing bolts to suit the door thickness secure the backing plate to the KL90 keypad.
7. Select and fit the suitable spindle and cam combination using one of the supplied fixing bolts.
8. Secure the battery pack adjacent to the KL90 keypad on the inside face of the door using the supplied screws or self-adhesive tape, where required.
9. Install the two AAA cells provided and connect the cables.
10. Before closing the door check the operation of the lock with the User Code. Now check that the cam engages with the frame or keep without bind or to much free play.
11. If not changed already, change the factory set master and user codes.
B. New Installation
1. Use the template provided (marked SURFACE) or backing plate and place against the door. Mark the upper and lower 5mm fixing holes, and 18mm spindle hole.
2. IMPORTANT NOTE – Before drilling ensure the position of the lock will allow the selected cam to engage with the frame or keep.
3. Drill the holes
4. Continue the installation from Step 4 Section A.
